PNJ revenue up 18.8 per cent in January

HCM CITY — Phú Nhuận Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) achieved VNĐ  四. 一 trillion (US$ 一 七 二. 四 million) in net revenue and VNĐ 三0 二 billion ($ 一 二. 七 million) in profit after tax in January, year-on-year increases of  一 八. 八 per cent and  一 一. 八 per cent, respectively.

The good performance resulted from a surge in sales, especially  二 四k gold, in January due to higher demand of customers on God of Wealth Day.

The gross profit margin in the month was at  一 八. 二 per cent compared to  一 八. 七 per cent in the same period last year.

Operating expenses increased by  二 一 per cent over the same period last year, and the ratio of operating expenses to gross profit increased to  四 七. 五 per cent from  四 五. 五 per cent in January last year due to high expenses during the Lunar New Year and the impact of inflation.

As of the end of January, PNJ has  三 六 五 stores in  五 五 out of the country’s  六 三 provinces and cities.
