Carlos Alcaraz, the two-time defending champion, delivered a commanding performance to reach the Wimbledon semifinals. He defeated Cam Norrie, the last remaining British player in the singles competition, with a score of 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 on Tuesday.

Taylor Fritz celebrates his Wimbledon quarterfinal victory.

Alcaraz has now extended his winning streak to an impressive 23 matches. This is the longest tour-level winning streak achieved by a male player aged 22 or younger since Juan Martin del Potro's 23-match streak in 2008, which culminated in his US Open victory at the age of 19.

The second-seeded Alcaraz has become only the second Spanish player ever to reach the men's singles semifinals at Wimbledon on three separate occasions, joining Rafael Nadal in this achievement.

After Norrie initially held serve in the opening game on Centre Court, Alcaraz seized control, winning the subsequent five games against his left-handed opponent.

Alcaraz swiftly secured the first set in just 28 minutes. Many seats at Centre Court remained unoccupied as spectators were still getting refreshments after watching Aryna Sabalenka's quarterfinal victory.

Throughout the match, Alcaraz never allowed Norrie to gain momentum. He faced only five break points, successfully defending all of them. He also recorded 39 winners and 13 aces, while committing 26 unforced errors.

Amanda Anisimova celebrates reaching her first Wimbledon semifinal.

"To be able to play another semifinal here at Wimbledon is super special," Alcaraz stated in an on-court interview, after completing the quarterfinal in 1 hour and 39 minutes.

Alcaraz won an impressive 89% of his first-serve points against Norrie, marking the highest percentage in any major match of his career.

His next challenge will be against No. 5 American Taylor Fritz, with a place in the final at stake.

Alcaraz is aiming to become only the fourth man in history to win the French Open and Wimbledon in the same year multiple times. He would join Bjorn Borg (3 times: 1978-80), Rod Laver (1962, 1969) and Nadal (2008, 2010) in this elite group.
